Feel the Magic proved that touching was good back at launch, and now it's time to do it again! Rub it!

Guess who’s back? The lovable, unique, and mini-game-filled Nintendo DS title by Sonic Team is who. No, it is not a sequel to the launch title Feel the Magic: XY/XX. Instead, this title precedes it, and follows the story of a young man who has fallen in love with a very beautiful woman. It might be extremely identical to the first game story-wise, but there is still more to it than meets the eye. You have a plethora of mini-games to complete which are harder and take longer to complete than in the original. The crazy story, the crazy characters, the unique graphical style, and the lovable quirkiness of the first title return, as does the catchy hums and whistles that make up the music. It’s a return to the crazy world created by SEGA, and there’s very little to complain about, despite the unfortunately short time it takes to complete the main story.
Facts and Features:
Where Do Babies Come From?
You know you’re in for something out of the ordinary when you first boot up the game and get a screen that reads: “WARNING: Continuous stroking, blowing, and poking could lead to unwanted attention in public places.” Take the advice carefully, because this time around, you will have to blow harder, tap faster, and twist the DS backwards and sideways in order to complete many of the mini-games. This is nothing, though, because you are doing this for her, and she appreciates your abated breath, your tired arms, and your broken DS screen.
So you are going down an escalator, with about a dozen other men behind you and suddenly, this beautiful, sexy lady is heading on the opposite escalator. She catches your eye, as well as the twenty-two other eyes of your escalator buddies. She is the one, and you know it. However, you have all fallen for her, and want to catch her attention. So what’s the best way to do it? By going up the escalator and offering her a flower, that’s how. And thus your mini-game-filled journey begins. From now on, every moment of your love rendezvous will coincidentally tie into a certain mini-game, and you must successively complete five levels of increasing difficulty per mini-game in order to move on to the next one. If you played the original, you know what to do.
The Rub Rabbits! contains various modes, each offering a different and unique experience. First, there is the main Story mode, which contains thirty-seven scenes, and a Hard difficulty setting once you complete the mode in the Normal setting. Also, once you complete the Story mode, you will unlock Another Story, which is a semi-continuation, semi-repetition of the main Story mode. How so you ask? Well, it is simply all the mini-games you have already played, except now, the jealous girl creates a robot version of you and makes you repeat the mini-games with her replacing your girlfriend. Another Story is a short, sadly useless additional mode that offers no new material.
Moving on, there is also Maniac mode, in which you can wither dress-up your lovely female friend with unlockable costumes found in the game, or where you can design your own patterns for her to wear in either a bikini or miniskirt and top combo. You can let all your creativity run wild here, as you mix and match the different hats, shirts, jeans, shoes, and hand accessories and make your female friend as sexy as possible. In some parts of the game, you can also see her wearing what you picked out for her, which makes it all the more engrossing to do. For all those whose satisfaction in this game stems from touching your girl in inappropriate places, this “mode” makes it the second time around, and those who enjoyed it in Feel the Magic can continue their habits in The Rub Rabbits!.
Memories mode allows you to relive every single one of the mini-games you played in Story mode, with the inclusion of greater difficulty settings and the ability to continue earning points to unlock those hidden extras. Your progress in each scene is depicted on the top screen, where your girl stands upon a steep hill, and after completing the scene, you run up as far as you got in that scene and try to get all the way to her to give her a flower; a truly romantic scene of affection.
Attack mode is where you can try some of the mini-games in three variations of difficulty, in an attempt to rank in first place in the High Scores chart.
