We get our hands on Arthur and The Invisibles.
Haven’t had your fill of gaming that’s marketed towards movies and cartoons? Fear not, because Atari has teamed up with the famed director Luc Besson (The Fifth Element, The Professional) who wrote the series of books in the UK under the same name. The series is focused on Arthur who is shrunk down and has landed smack dab into the world of the Minimoys. What happens from thereon is the basis for the games on most of the current gen platforms.
For the Nintendo DS specifically, you’re given three different levels of gameplay in which you can play mini-games, raise a virtual pet that’s from the books and movie and also compete with friends via the Nintendo Wifi network for who can win the most through the title’s games. Caring for your “Mul-Mul,” a small and fluffy creature from the series, is the main portion of the game as everytime you beat levels within the minigames –- you win prizes to put towards your pet. Cleaning up after him, playing with him and feeding him are essential –- while putting up posters and pictures as well as giving him toys, are just other aspects of caring for your creature.
The game features over 90 varied mini-games and many different levels which take artwork and cinema from the movie and places it in the world of the Nintendo DS. Unlocking movie clips, production artwork and more toys and trinkets for your Mul-Mul are just some of the many things this title is capable of giving you.
Keep your eyes and ears here at Advanced Media for more as information arrives on this title, due out in the first quarter of 2007.
