Rumor: Chrono Trigger Pushed Back 'Til After Christmas, Maybe Even Later
September 5, 2008 | 1:00 PM PST
GoNintendo reports that the image to your right was a part of an e-mail sent by Square-Enix today, seemingly indicating that the release of Chrono Trigger for the Nintendo DS has been pushed out of a 2008 release window and clear into the first part of 2009.
To further substantiate this, it would also appear that Amazon's page for the title has also reflected a push back, though they give it a more cryptic date of December 30th, 2008.
If the latter holds true, is this a normal delay tactic for Amazon, to list a game on the last shipping day of the year? Or could it perhaps be part of some themed release, wherein Square-Enix has people playing a time-themed adventure as they ring in the new year? Are they even that creative?
Share your conspiracy theories, as well as cries of "Nooo!" and curses of Square-Enix's name in the comments.
