DSi and DS Lite Differences Highlighted

It's only natural, when a new console or handheld is announced, for people to want to compare them. That goes doubly so when it's a revision of existing hardware, and so it comes as no surprise that when the DSi was announced, numbers were crunched.
Pushing Play looks at the more publicized stuff, getting it all together: The cameras (and number/placement thereof), the finish, inputs, online store, power button, and other such things.
And over at Kotaku, they've crunched the hard numbers: Size of liquid crystal display, portable size, charging time, battery life, and more. Click their link there to find out what differences you're less likely to hear about in print.
They also talk elsewhere about the sound and camera capabilities:
with DSi Camera, users can add effects that include face composition that combine faces, distortion, superimposing face altering expressions and adding picture frames. DSi Sound access SD memory card sound files to alter the tune's playback. There are various music visualizers as well — baby chicks hatching out of eggs, for example. Via the mic, it's possible to record up to 10 seconds of sound, and it's also possible to alter the sounds as well as music. -- IT Media via KotakuWow, 10 seconds? I'd better put some serious practice into my high-speed freestyling.
