It seems that Square Enix has suffered another setback with Dragon Quest IX, delaying it once again. The game, which was originally to go on sale in Japan on March 28th, has now been delayed until July 11th, according to their website.

According to DarkZero, this is not the first time such a thing has happened with the series, with the most notorious incident being DQ VII, which was delayed to the point it was released about four years after its announcement.

It remains unknown how this delay might affect the game's release in other territories, if at all.
