Media: Color Changing Tingle's Love Balloon Trip - Crow and Dungeon Gameplay

Nintendo is playing a dirty trick on me with Tingle as of late. I've made no secret of my affinity for Balloon Fight, which saw a Japanese Club Nintendo remake as Tingle's Balloon Fight, which yes, I did import.
And now they have this new Tingle title, "Color Changing Tingle's Love Balloon Trip" which is making the rounds. With "Balloon Trip" being a mode in the Balloon Fight games, they know I just can't resist looking at this thing, even if I know better. It's devious, and quite so, though perhaps not more devious than the fact that it will likely make it no further than Europe.
That said, it looks interesting. The first video here shows Tingle exploring a dungeon of some kind in a way that reminds me of really early first-person games on the NES, such as Shadowgate, or maybe interior portions of Golgo-13:
Interesting combat mechanics: while Mega Man uses a system inspired by Paper, Rock, Scissors, Tingle uses the actual game itself to thwart foes. Sort of like Alex Kidd.
Hey, now there's an idea. If Mario and Sonic can team up and compete, why not Tingle and Alex Kidd?
Video number two shows Tingle taking on some sort of crow with a slingshot, trying to rescue... well, somebody:
This video, which is a couple of weeks older and being included for completion's sake, shows that there's more than that to the game, it would seem:
I like the subtle inclusion of the Zelda "you got an item" theme. Also, at about 2:39: I did not know that Tingle was one of Freeza's men.
And finally, some TV spots:
I have to say, if nothing else, Tingle seems to provides some unique gaming experiences you aren't likely to find anywhere else. A pity that there's not a way to get them in America, short of importing, and with the DSi's region-locking, it seems even that may soon no longer be an option.
Of course, I would still like to try the other Tingle title, Freshly Picked: Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland, before I move on, though I doubt chronology plays a heavy part in these titles.
Speaking of which, I wonder if anyone's tried to shoehorn these into any of the myriad of Zelda timeline theories out there?
Anyway, unlike a lot of people, I don't really begrudge Tingle... though, if he ever so much as thinks about touching my Force Gems in another Four Swords game... well, let's just say that he'll be taking Wolf's place when I get ahold of him. Courtesy of Halolz:
