DSi XL Size Comparisons and Video

The Nintendo DSi XL appears to be quite a handful, as the above image features a mock-up of the Nintendo D6L (it's just easier to type it that way) positioned next to a Wii case for a sense of scale. Yikes. We saw when it was revealed yesterday how big the unit is compared to its contemporaries, but being positioned next to the case just makes it seem even bigger, doesn't it?
Another image, from what is assumed to be the press conference revealing the D6L, shows it placed alongside the two of its predecessors which still remain on shelves, the DSi and DS Lite:

Here, it seems more reasonable somehow.
Finally, you can see how the screen looks in action from this TV Osaka clip, which was broadcast this morning:
It looks pretty good to me, but I still want to see it in person before making a decision on whether or not to purchase it.
One point I'm less fond of, however, is something Joystiq said in their D6L FAQ: "The XL also includes a 129.3mm-long pen-shaped stylus, which does not fit inside the console."
Well, that just stinks. The new stylus looks like it might be more comfortable to grip, it would suck if you couldn't bring it with you in a way as convenient as the regular. Maybe they could make the slot for the stylus bigger, and allow you to fit the small stylus into the larger one. Just a thought.
They also note that "in addition, for the first time in the DS line, two DS models will share a common AC adapter. The DSi XL will use the same AC adapter as the DSi." So, that may be some good news for some multi-DSi households out there.
